So, we decided one fine day in February to go and ride the new Bullet Train (that's what Liam calls it) to Tempe. We got on it where it starts in Mesa and took it to Mill. We then walked to Tempe Town Lake and had a nice little picnic. Papa Crandall got to go with us and enjoy the chaos. There was some kind of tolerance rally going on at the Lake so my kids got to see bag pipes for the first time (don't ask me what bag pipes have to do with tolerance, but they were cool). There were all kinds of booths giving out free stuff, which of course we took advantage of. We left with all kinds of treasures. They even had a freaky weird puppet show with the puppets singing all kinds of Christian rock music! It mostly just scared Lily. But we had a really good time and can now say we've ridden the Bullet train.
